The Club & Activities Fair is TODAY. This is a great opportunity for students to see all the ways they can be involved at BHS. Representatives from each club/activity will be available for students to ask questions and explain the opportunities available. Tables will be set up in the Commons during lunch today and freshmen and new students to BHS will also have an opportunity to come down to the fair during PRIDE.
Community Service hours for 04/01/2026 through 09/10/2026 are due by 3:25PM TODAY. We will not accept late submissions. Your reflection letter with digital proof must be shared with Ms. Cauwels in Student Services (jcauwels@bettschools.org) by 3:25PM as well. Please email or stop in and see Ms. Cauwels with any questions.
The girls tennis team wrapped up the regular season last night at North Scott. Varsity lost and will look to battling at the MAC tournament next Wednesday and Thursday. Juniors/Sophomores for PSAT: The sign-up for PSAT testing started, in Student Services for Juniors Only. Sophomores can sign up beginning Monday, September 14th. Sign up ends Friday, September 18th. Qualifying scores from this test can lead to significant scholarship money. The cost is $18, payable by check to Bettendorf High School, or can be paid through your Infinite Campus Portal. If you signed up for Powderpuff, you need to attend the mandatory PRIDE on Thursday, September 17th to learn the rules and tie-dye shirts. If you are unable to attend, sign up for the makeup PRIDE on Friday, September 18th.
Auditions for the BHS Theatre Department's production of Bone Chiller will take place next Tuesday, September 15 after school in the PAC. Optional Pride sessions are available this week to help prepare for the audition. Please see Mrs. Howard with any questions.

Looking for a way to earn easy community service hours or gain real-world political experience? Check out two campaign opportunities available for students this fall: Bridgford for Iowa Fellowship: Gain hands-on experience working on a statewide legislative campaign. Apply directly at bridgfordforiowa.com/Fellowship or email kasey@bridgfordforiowa.com. Rob Sand for Iowa Fellowship: Work directly on a high-profile gubernatorial campaign. Bettendorf High School will host its first senior voter registration drive of the year during PRIDE in the Commons next Tuesday, September 15. This date also coincides with National Voter Registration Day. This drive marks an important step toward BHS receiving the Carrie Chapman Catt Award for the second time. Let’s aim for a strong turnout! Please make sure to have your Iowa Driver's License or non-operator ID.

The Women in STEM (WiSTEM) will hold their first club meeting on Tuesday September 15th, right after school in Mrs. Rowland’s room D317. If you are interested in learning about all things STEM, please join our first meeting for introductions and thermo-pigmented slime making!
Did you know that BHS has 2 Robotics teams that compete in an international competition every season? We have been competing for over 10 years and are looking for new recruits to carry on the tradition of excellence.We are looking for students who want to compete in a fun and challenging robotics competition against teams locally, across the state of Iowa and beyond. We need team members that are interested in 3D modeling, graphic design, communications, designing and constructing robots, and problem solving. Come join us for BIOBUZZ this season and we will have a lot of fun! No experience necessary to participate. Look for the team posters around the building for more links to more team info and a code to sign up. Interested in joining yearbook but just didn't have room in your schedule this year? You're in luck. Yearbook is looking for freelance photographers. Mr. Staber will hold an informational meeting about what you can do even if you can't take the class this year during this Friday's PRIDE. Sign up or reach out to Mr. Staber for more information.
Seniors, as part of your high school graduation requirement you must take and pass the Iowa Civics Exam. The social studies dept. will be hosting a weekly testing session to help you with this requirement. Mrs. Koepnick will be hosting the first session Friday, September 18th.
